The problems with paper receipts
Paper receipts can be easily damaged or lost
The bisphenol component that used to produced paper receipts is dangerous for environment and human health (this is not obligation but accordingly to WHO cashiers should wear gloves as amount of micro components exceeds the safe levels)
Even though you will be able to safely store your receipt for expensive purchases, the ink fades away with time, what creates risks of losing warranty rights in future (telegraph interview in 2017 suggested that 30% of respondents had problems with warranty claims due to faded receipts)
The same applies to the business side, companies are obliged to store a copy of receipts for 5-10 years, processing complexity; moreover, paper receipts does not fit into new digitized reality, they are outdated.
Our goal
Recify aims to enable e-receipts across multiple industries so that customers can easily use their phones to collect and store receipts.
